What is RPL?
RPL stands for Recognition of Prior Learning.
Many experienced workers have gained skills and knowledge on the job but have no qualification to reflect these skills. Under the National Training Framework workers are encouraged to have their skills recognised by having them assessed. This usually involves showing evidence of the skills or knowledge they have learnt in this job, in training or previous work or personal/life experience. This process is often called “RPL” or the recognition of prior leaning.
The assessment process can vary but might include a portfolio of your work, a resume showing experience, a workplace observation, and interview or a supervisor's report of reference. It should be a participatory and negotiated process. If the worker can demonstrate their competence they can be awarded the appropriate qualification or a statement of the skills they have.
What is CT?
CT stands for Credit Transfer.
What are the requirements for Credit Transfer
To be eligible for a Credit Transfer you would need to answer 'YES' to the following questions:
1.Have you a formal qualification/unit of competency that is recognised for the course?
2.Do you hold the original copy of your qualification/academic record?
3.Are you able to get the original copy certified and provide the certified copy in support of your credit transfer?

A credit transfer is a relatively quick process and awards you competence for any units you have already achieved through formal education that correspond with the specific requirements of a course. This means you do not have to 'repeat' any training you have already completed. The Warehouse Management Training Institute will help you determine if you have a valid claim to credit transfer and provide you with an email outlining the requirements to be provided, prior to be approved for a credit transfer.
